四意斷
四意斷(sì yì duàn) “the four abandonments from the mind” (an old translation of BHS. catvāri samyakprahāṇāni [ “the four right abandonments” / “the four right exertions”; cf. BHSD , s.v.prahāṇa] which is a hyperform of BHS. catvāri samyakpradhānāni [ “the four right exertions”]. Later translators rendered the latter generally as 四正勤.)
